Combining Technology and Design to Emphasize the Digital Age

The inspiration for Electra came from the belief that all mechanical products would eventually be converted into digital products in the near future. The series consists of only the casing, in contrast to ordinary armature shapes. The water flowing away among the stones in prehistoric ages is now offered through a natural form and a technological solution. Electra aims to provide users with a distinctive experience, taking the first step towards the limitless content of the digital world.

One of the unique properties of Electra is its elegant and smart appearance. The faucet, which does not have a separate handle, attracts everyone with its simplicity and sophistication. The touch display buttons offer users a more ergonomic solution, maximizing movement space and ergonomics. Additionally, Electra features an "Eco Mind" mode, providing users with maximum efficiency in water saving and emphasizing the importance of a sustainable future.

The realization of Electra involves the use of electronic touch display technology, which reduces the number of components compared to standard armatures. The water is carried away to the output end through a hose, reducing the number of procedures on the body and creating production flexibility. To ensure the safety of the display cables, a different coring technique is used. The body process is also optimized for productivity and efficiency.

Electra is available in various specifications, including basin mixers and built-in basin mixers. The dimensions of the basin mixer are 69mm (width) x 170mm (depth) x 140mm (height), while the built-in basin mixer measures 240mm (width) x 210mm (depth) x 80mm (height). The shower system touch panel has dimensions of 140mm (width) x 180mm (height).

The Electra project started in November 2011 in Turkey and Switzerland, in collaboration with two different companies. The product samples were exhibited in Unicera in 2012 and won the Design Turkey 2012 Good Design Award. The design process involved extensive research on personalization and digitalization trends, as well as data transfers between solution partners. The final product was shaped based on feedback from focus groups and prototypes sent to customers and marketing experts.

Despite the challenges of introducing new technology in a traditionally mechanical industry, Electra successfully combines innovation and aesthetics. The design overcame hesitations about water and electricity by using two different touch panels and gathering feedback from users and experts. The result is an aesthetic and ergonomic design that meets the needs of both the market and the users.

Electra has been recognized for its excellence and innovation, receiving the Silver A' Design Award in the Building Materials and Construction Components Design category in 2013. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise, innovation, and artistic skill.
